DESCRIPTION:The Village of Grayslake\, IL is adding a Revolutionary War Reenactment Weekend to their Annual Summerfest. Saturday Program will include one battle and participation in their parade at 2pm. Live music\, food trucks\, drinks\, games are more will follow the parade. \nSunday will be two battles with a typical NWTA demonstrations. \nAmenities:  \n\nFirewood\nWater (at Gelatin Park)\nStraw\nIce\nModern restrooms available at Central Park\nShowers are available between 6a -12pm and 8:30p -10:30p at the Aquatic Center\nCatered Dinner by BBQ Productions available to the NWTA on Friday night\nFood Truck vouchers (approximately $10) will be made available for Saturday.\n\nRegistration will be appreciated by August 8th that will help with camp layout. \nThose seeking more modern sleeping accommodations\, discounted rates have been reserved at the Comfort Inn at Grayslake. DESCRIPTION:American Revolution: 60 Years War for Ohio! \nWayne’s Light Infantry Corps\, as the NWTA host unit\, has been working with the fort staff to develop some unique opportunities for public and reenactors\, alike. The result—a steadily growing public\, becoming Fort Meigs’ best attended event. The fort intends to continue to build on that by increasing their promotional efforts. And the NWTA has officially invited the BAR to join us. It may just be that Fort Meigs is once again strategically important for the future. \nNew this year! “America\, Independence\, and the Iroquois. Explore the origins of our Representative Democracy with historian and Black Swamp Intertribal Foundation member Taylor Moyer” \nPop Around the Clock will be returning to sell gourmet popcorn in the tavern!
