Our event season begins with the Spirit of Vincennes, one of our largest events featuring encampments, battle, artillery, and horse demonstrations, and a festival area with food, entertainment, and activities for the whole family. On the historic site of Fort Sackville, now the George Rogers Clark National Historic Park.
The George Rogers Clark National Historical Park and the Spirit of Vincennes, Inc. join with the N.W.T.A. for this regional event. The 8th Regiment of Foot proudly serves as host unit.

Ice will be sold on-site by the Boy Scouts.
On Saturday, a catered dinner is provided.
Showers are available at Rivet H. S. across the street from the camp. On Sunday evening, a candlelight walk, talk, and remembrance will honor the people and events at Vincennes during the Revolution. It ends in the graveyard where some of the participants were buried.
We look forward to seeing our friends and renewing our mutual enthusiasms!
Again, change in the contour of the NPS grounds caused by the continuing levee project necessitate that we adapt our camps. Noting a current trend in styles of camp, I welcome input at robertsloman1952@gmail.com. I will try to incorporate people’s wishes within the physical and NPS limitations on use of the grounds.
Please register by May 17, if possible, to aid in caterer arrangements and camp planning.
